The smell of pine and peppermint, food to bake, family to see, beautiful lights and decorations.... All signs that Christmas is almost here!!! I know I'm a dork but I absolutely love Christmas and everything that comes along with it. It's even more fun when you have a child. Last year Caeden was only a month old, so this year he gets to enjoy all the lights and decorations. Still not sure about Santa yet though.
We too him twice to see Santa, the first time he screamed and cried, the second time he still cried, but stopped long enough for them to take a picture at least. So we got at least one decent picture. It's in the picture slide show if you want to see it.
We also decided to cut down a real tree this year. We wanted to last year but I read it's not a good idea with a newborn in the house since some babies are highly allergic. Anyway it didn't take long for Caeden to find the tree. He's been opening up presents that aren't his, tearing the bows off , pulling ornaments off etc. All the wonderful things that come with a toddler! I think he had a little too much practice on his birthday cause everytime he sees a present, he points to it and thinks it's his.
He's been talking alot lately and saying alot of new words. I had no idea that they talk this early!! He can say, tree, hot, hi, light, uhoh, and mama and dada of course ;o)
I added a video of Caeden saying tree, but don't mind the little marks on his face, as most of you may know when they start walking along comes the bruises unfortunately!
